Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FontDrop (the "Service"), including the fontdrop.app website and the FontDrop desktop application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FontDrop is a desktop application for macOS that identifies fonts from images, screenshots, and screen captures using AI-powered recognition. The Service includes font matching, free alternative suggestions, and links to font download sources.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Licensing & Subscriptions

Free Trial

New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required for the trial.

Paid Plans

After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription. Plans vary by the number of devices allowed. Subscriptions are billed monthly through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy.

Device Limits

Each plan allows activation on a specific number of devices. You may deactivate a device from your account page to free up a slot. Sharing your license key with others is prohibited.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
  • Share, resell, or redistribute your license or the application
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to bypass device limits or licensing restrictions
  • Upload harmful, illegal, or infringing content for processing
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. Intellectual Property

The FontDrop application, website, branding, and all related content are the intellectual property of FontDrop and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application.

Fonts identified or suggested by FontDrop are the property of their respective owners. FontDrop does not grant any license to use third-party fonts — you must comply with each font's licensing terms.

7. Third-Party Services

FontDrop relies on third-party services including OpenAI for AI processing and various font databases for matching. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services. Font identification results are provided as suggestions and may not always be accurate.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the accuracy of font identification results.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FontDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Cancellation & Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page or through Lemon Squeezy. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
